No Windows, winners of the Sound Of Young Scotland award, are a young Edinburgh-based duo who have dropped their latest single, ‘Fibbs’. The track experiments with glittery synths and infectious alt-pop vocal lines, with developments in production style also modernising their sound as Morgan Morris experiments with multi-tracked backing vocals, unexpected countermelodies, tape delay, and field recordings. Vocalist Verity Slangen says that track was “written in a time where I was very emotionally charged, and I decided to create a new habit of writing in this state. It was originally written by me just playing very simple chords on guitar and singing and then sending this to Morgan.” No Windows are dropping their new EP, Point Nemo, on May 3rd, via Fat Possum Records. -Dan Peeke
